Giving back allows us the ability to create and maintain a sense of gratitude. Why do community? It is our philosophy that when we give of our time to serve others, a sense of appreciation and compassion for humanity awakens within. It is at that moment, we are reminded to be thankful and grateful for all things given unto us. Gratitude is a life lesson that we hope we all will master.
“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr.
During one of of our outreach adventures we visited, The Hospital for Sick Children in Washington, D.C. We met nursing staff, and many families. This event was one of the most beautiful and humbling adventure to date. I read stories to babies and toddlers with Ntombi sitting along my side! We did arts & crafts together and as a result put smiles on so many precious faces. I am eternally grateful to share the heart and spirit of Ntombi with others. Our adventures are so much fun! #gratitude
We dropped off donated goods at Bowie InterFaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund. We had a phenomenal turn out of donated items. It took five trips from the car to the pantry to deliver grocery carts overflowing with goods. We want to thank all who gave so generously as a selfless acts of kindness and love. This was truly a memorable moment in my life. #grateful
Ntombi and I were blessed with an opportunity to serve the residents in Bladensburg, MD - alongside Pastor Danny of Port Towns Church for their 2019 Thanksgiving Dinner community event. What an amazing and humbling experience to be able to volunteer our time to bring cheers and laughter to so many families and children as they met Ntombi for the first time. #grateful
Ntombi and I had the pleasure of partnering with So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.) this 2020 holiday season for our 2nd Annual Toy Drive! All toys collected will assist over 700 families that are less fortunate within the metropolitan area. Thank you to all that gave, together "we" made a difference! #grateful
